HM Build
Howdy !
I just restarted playing, and im focusing on Master of the North title aTm. I usually run R/Mes BHA Epidemic build. But it might be out of date. I looked at pvw wikia for some more updated/better PvE build, but all i found was a Burning Arrow build ... that i somehow dont see it working very well in GWEN HM, cause many of the foe's are either immune to poison or imune to burning.
So what i ask if possible is if the community can share some actual working build's that i can use at HM.
Thank's in advance for your time !
PS: English isnt my native language as u can see

There used to be 2 R/D builds, one with a pet for NRA as IAS and another using Dwarven Stability + Lightning reflexes.
Various turret builds may work for you.
Some people still like Barrage and splinter weapon (on a rt/ hero)

Personally I enjoy Pet Scythe and Pet Dagger. They're not rated "Great" but they're a lot of fun to play and work rather well (if you can actively manage the pet's attacks and your own). Otherwise, Splinter Barrage is always good, /Rt Spirit Spam to break the monotony. BHA+Epi has its uses, but they're extremely limited. It's good to keep all these builds in your pocket for various situations anyway.
As a Ranger, I'd even be tempted to play unusual things like sword, axe, or hammer. Earthshaker is actually really fun on a PvE Ranger if not the most effective build in the world, and a Ranger can even sword and SY. Sure, they might not be as good as a Warrior, but it's effective enough and it never lets you get bored with one build.

My wife is rather fond of her R/P Spear chucker/Beast master... it's not the most optimal build, but she has a lot of fun with it, and it was good enough to get her through Survivor. I don't know the details, but it's basically built around the elite Strike as One and the Sunspear skill Never Rampage Alone, with a few misc. spear and pet skills.
I cast another vote for an R/D beastmaster too.

I prefer to stay with the bow.
For AoE: Ignite Arrows|Incendiary Arrows|Favorable Winds|
From there you can add damage buffs or attack skills. Multi-shot skills would be preferable as each would trigger the explosive arrows.
With pet, I stick with Enraged Lunge and then add Scavenger Strike and Call of Haste. Other good skills are Otyugh's Cry and Brutal Strike.
For single target sniping: Glass Arrows|Ebon Battle Standard of Honor|Asuran Scan|Needling Shot
I am the Strongest can substitute if you don't have the skills above.
For shutdown: Archer's Signet|Technobabble with a Silencing bow upgrade. This is more of a personal build for me, I just like it. I also add Concussion Shot and it's worth it if you're good at interrupting. Just run a high Expertise and you won't suffer, and save CS for bosses only.
Hope this helps!

I've done most of my HM stuff as R/D scythe ranger, and it works pretty well with a hero carrying Strength of Honor and Splinter weapon. Occasionally, I loaded a turret build to kill the monotony. I don't like pets when I play melee very much because they have the very bad habit of body blocking me :'(

I play an infuritating savior build to achieve save your self permanent if noone got it along with a pet simply for ias. But that was using my dual player hero setup so it might not work out as well. Ive beaten kathandrax and frostmaw, etc with the team setup. But for non serious hardmoding (vanq with friends etc.) i go with a experts dextirity + read the wind + flatbow build to maximize attack speed, range and accuarcy as well as a nice buff to marksmanship. Prepared shot version gives you no ias but a strong energy management that ensures that you can keep up spiking for a extended amount of time without breaking stride.

I've play with this barrage build almost everywhere:
R/W 12+1+1 Marksmanship, 12+1 Expertise
1 - Barrage
2 - "I am the strongest"
3 - Needling Shot (or any other non-elite bow attack skill you prefer)
4 - Distracting Shot or Disrupting Shot
5 - Whirling Defense or Lightning Reflexes
6 - Favorable Winds (this one is totally optional)
7 - Ebon Battle Standard of Honor
8 - "Save Yourselves!"
You will need a zelous flatbow and a vamp one.
Usage(quite dumb): Spam barrage on mobs and even on single targets and if that one is below 50% health use Needling Shot. Keep "I am the strongest" always up and EBSoH and SY! when you're able.
I prefer WD over LR because it lasts longer and because with a flatbow you don't really need IAS when you're spaming barrage.

I enjoy Playing dagger/pet( not the best one but im still getting used to it), spear/pet is probably the best /pet build i have ever played with, i run something like this:
Barbed Spear
Spear of Fury
Merciless Spear
Poisonous Bite
Scavengers Strike
Brutal Strike
NRA
HaO
Then theres a the Prepared shot build with pen/sundering attack, prep shot and experts focus providing limitless energy.
Or you could just SoS like most of us do anyways:P
